Melissa (Lisa) Gallo, J.D.
Prior to joining Larson Tax Relief more than seven years ago, Lisa spent four years in the tax resolution industry, helping numerous business and individuals work out successful resolutions with both the IRS and state taxing agencies. Her client base ranges from those with minor tax debts to those owing over 2 million. Before beginning a life in tax resolution, Lisa worked as a transactional attorney in the corporate and securities arenas as well as on a high profile class action pharmaceutical litigation case. Lisa graduated from the University of Denver with a JD/MBA and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
Lucas Hauschild, E.A.
A graduate of the University of Colorado, Lucas has over 11 years of experience in the Tax Resolution industry. His expert knowledge base pertains to all business and personal tax debt issues, what causes them, and what the best resolution strategy may be. He has spent his entire career in the industry explaining the benefits of hiring expert help, the pros and cons of any resolution strategy, and what our clients can expect when hiring us to navigate through their complicated tax situations. Because of this experience, he is responsible for managing and training all of our consultants to ensure that the quality of the help promised by Larson Tax Relief is equal to the help delivered. In his free time, he enjoys spending time at “the cabin” with his wife and 5 year old daughter.
Leona Hauschild, J.D.
Leona brings her expertise in tax resolution to the Larson team with more than ten years of experience helping clients resolve their tax issues. She loves the different approach to tax resolution that is taken here at Larson, with a genuine focus on the client and a true sense of family within the organization. Leona received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a JD from the University of Denver. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Jim Gardner, E.A.
Jim has been with Larson Financial for over seven years, and is a licensed Enrolled Agent (EA). He has helped thousands of our clients find successful resolutions to their tax issues. Jim lived in Reno, studied at the University of Nevada and moved to Colorado in the spring of 2008. In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time in the mountains with his Fiancée and two dogs.
Erin Harryman, E.A.
Erin has been assisting clients solve their tax problems at Larson Tax Relief for over six years. Prior to joining the team, she spent several years in tax resolution working for a leading firm. Erin is enrolled to practice before the IRS, and holds dual bachelors' degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Minnesota State University. Erin enjoys spending her free time watching her favorite teams, the Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Vikings with her husband and two children.
Michael Plantinga, J.D.
Michael has been providing professional and efficient tax representation for seven years. Michael is a United States Navy Veteran, and was a recipient of the prestigious Navy Achievement Award. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he served as a Staff Editor on the university’s Law Review. Michael enjoys getting involved in sports and spending time with his family.
Richard Brown, E.A.
Richard has been with Larson for 5 years and has almost 10 years of experience in the tax resolution industry. Richard works to develop relationships with professionals, that may encounter taxpayers experiencing an issue with the IRS or State, to provide representation and to ensure that they get the services they need to resolve their tax matters. Richard is a US Army Veteran and holds an Associates Degree in Business & Accounting. Richard is a passionate golfer and enjoys the outdoors.
Steve Cizik, J.D.
Steve Cizik is a Graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder with a BS in Business Management and received his law degree from The Syracuse College of Law, cum laude. He worked as a litigation associate in complex corporate law for three years prior to moving into tax representation. Steve now has over 6 years in the field and prides himself on professional and efficient representation with case specific and outside of the box resolutions. Steve is a former CU Ski Team member who divides his time between managing a growing family and getting back to the Colorado mountains whenever possible to ski, climb, hike, bike and generally enjoy a state that he loves.
Debbie Gallegos, E.A.
After a long profession as a Service Operations Manager with a large grocery chain, Debbie chose to seek out an industry change over six years ago, beginning her new career with Larson Tax Relief. Her past experience with accounting and bookkeeping made for an easy transition to her work at Larson, where Debbie is delighted to get to know her clients and truly help people in tough situations. She is enrolled to practice before the IRS.
Lisa Geyer, J.D.
As a former stock broker and registered investment adviser, Lisa has an acute understanding of the ways tax impacts businesses and individuals. Lisa's empathy for clients suffering from tax liability fuels her passion for effectively advocating for our clients. Lisa holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. In law school, Lisa was twice awarded for her focus on ethics. She enjoys hiking, making short films and is an accomplished artist and novelist.
Tiffany Briels, E.A.
Tiffany has been with Larson Tax Relief for more than eight years and hopes to be for many more. The thing she enjoys the most is helping her clients and working with them to resolve their taxes and put their mind at ease. As an Enrolled Agent, Tiffany is admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys writing, producing, and acting in narrative and commercial films as well as spending time with her husband and their three cats.
Chris Tibbals, E.A.
Chris Tibbals has been with Larson Tax Relief for over three years and has been working within the tax relief industry for six years. He is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS and likes connecting with the client. Chris is an avid rock climber.
Maggie Lugo, E.A.
Prior to joining the team at Larson Tax Relief, Maggie had two years of tax resolution experience. Maggie is enrolled to practice with the IRS and holds a Bachelor Degree in Special Education from the University of Long Island, CW Post, in New York. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
Chris Kelley, J.D.
Chris received his B.B.A. in Marketing (w/ Honors) and B.A. in Music & Entrepreneurship (with honors) from the University of Iowa in 2009 before obtaining his Juris Doctorate from the Michigan State College of Law in 2013. Chris graduated Cum Laude, worked as an editor on the Law Review, and received the prestigious "King's Scholar" award while in law school. Prior to joining the team, he gained 7 months of experience in the tax resolution industry at a large firm. Chris is very passionate about building genuine relationships with clients by providing focused attention and reliable results on a consistent basis. In his free time, Chris enjoys watching sports and recording music in his home studio.
Benjamin Jones, J.D.
Benjamin graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law with a Juris Doctor in December of 2013. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He always strives to work with great effort and efficiency to achieve results on behalf of his clients. Benjamin grew up in Denver, Colorado, and is a passionate fan of the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos.
Geoff Belcher, E.A.
Prior to joining the team at Larson Tax Relief, Geoff had nearly 13 years of tax resolution experience. Geoff is enrolled to practice with the IRS and holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Geoff’s experience in the tax resolution industry ranges from small individual income tax clients to small businesses with minor tax debts to large publicly traded companies and those owing over $9 million. As a result, Geoff’s expert knowledge includes all personal and business tax liability matters, what causes them and what the most cost effective resolution strategy may be for your specific situation. Geoff is a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and enjoys spending his free time with friends and family as well as riding his motorcycle as much as possible.
Emily Rienau, J.D.
Emily Rienau is a graduate of the University of Miami, School of Law and also hold a B.S. in International Business. Prior to coming to the tax resolution industry she helped create various business entities to help people take advantage of tax benefits and ensure that open businesses were in compliance with the law. She loves being able to assist clients through difficult times and seeing a positive difference in their lives after their tax problems are resolved.
Susan Deschler, J.D.
Susan began practicing law in 2001. As an Attorney, she practiced law in numerous counties throughout Wisconsin and served as a Circuit Court Commissioner in the 6th and 7th Judicial Districts. Over the years, Susan has assisted numerous people in various areas of law. She is caring and sensitive to the needs of others who are in difficult situations.
In addition to her legal career, she was elected to serve as a County Board Supervisor and was a member of Adjunct Faculty teaching Legal Research & Writing to undergraduate students. Susan earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of WI-Parkside and earned her Juris Doctor Degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. She graduated in the top percentage of her law school class and has been published. Susan is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and Colorado.
Susan enjoys spending time with her four adult children as well as hiking, playing tennis, reading, and yoga.
Sarah Weber, J.D.
Sarah J. Webber is an Honors Scholar graduate of Western Illinois University and received her Juris Doctorate in 2006 from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. With a background in appellate practice and family law, Sarah entered the tax resolution field three years ago after relocating to Colorado. Sarah is proud to be part of the Larson Financial team and values the opportunity to build relationships with clients while resolving their tax-related financial issues. In her free time, Sarah enjoys horseback riding and hiking in the mountains with her two rescue dogs.
Jeff Van Putten
Jeffrey heads up our business development division where he coordinates with other professional firms. He has over 7 years experience in tax controversy, has owned several businesses, and has been deeply involved in bookkeeping, planning, and business strategy for more than two decades. Outside of Larson, Jeffrey is active in non-profit work, hiking and biking, and cooking.
Tim Campbell, E.A.
Tim Campbell has been with Larson Financial since 2006. His greatest attribute is his caring approach to finding the right solution to his clients’ tax issues. He realizes that owing money to anyone, much less the IRS or State, can be one of the most stressful situations a person can encounter in their lives. Because Tim knows that the solutions we provide will affect our clients for the rest of their lives, he takes great care in explaining our services in a manner that creates a clear understanding of how our process works. When Tim is out of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, two of which are twins. He also enjoys volunteering at his oldest daughter’s school.
John Eggers, E.A.
Before choosing to become a part of the Larson Financial team, John spent seven years in the tax resolution industry consulting taxpayers on how to alleviate their tax burden. John has his bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado and is an IRS Enrolled Agent. John enjoys spending his free time with friends and family, reading, and playing billiards.
Joe is a Senior Consultant with Larson Financial, and graduated from Northwood University in 1972. Years ago, Joe got his start working in the tax industry at a competitor’s firm. After several of his clients began voicing discontent in how their cases were being handled, Joe was determined to seek employment with a firm that delivered quality results to every one of their clients. This search landed him happily at Larson Financial. Joe spends his day explaining what our firm can accomplish for our prospective clients. He strives to make sure that every client is educated about our services, and is delivered the result they need. Joe is currently testing with Department of the Treasury/IRS to become an Enrolled Agent.
Bo Richmond offers 16 years in the tax relief industry as a Senior Tax Consultant. His level of experience and expertise are second to none in the industry. Bo’s role with Larson Financial is to make sense of the most complex or daunting tax problems that our clients face, but in simple terms. Bo is engaged to be married, enjoys fishing, spending time with family, and being outdoors with his 3 dogs.
Ken started working with Larson Financial in 2008. Over the past 7 years, he has specialized in consulting with prospective clients, and outlining the best solution for the taxpayer. During this process, he has helped hundreds of people gain an understanding of the inner-workings of the taxing authorities, and what it will take to remedy their complicated tax situation. As a small business owner himself, Ken has a great understanding of what it takes to run a business, and the number of pitfalls that exist. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
